James R. Chillemi is a dedicated attorney focusing in civil litigation and currently serves as a managing partner of Colosseum Counsel, PLLC in our Naples, Florida office location. Originally hailing from the New York Metropolitan area, James has cultivated a robust legal career in the Sunshine State.

James’s journey began after excelling at Archbishop Stepinac High School, where he was a pivotal member of the 2011 NYC Class A Championship Varsity Basketball Team and CHSAA semifinalist Varsity Golf Team. He continued to pursue his passion for sports and academics at Ave Maria University, graduating with a humanities degree in Politics and a minor in History. During his time at Ave Maria, James not only thrived academically but also showcased his athletic prowess as a member of both the basketball and golf teams.

Following his undergraduate studies, James pursued his Juris Doctorate at Ave Maria School of Law, completing his legal education in 2018. Shortly after, he earned admission to the Florida Bar in early 2019, marking the beginning of his illustrious legal career. James has since distinguished himself in various practice areas including car accidents, construction/contract litigation, landlord/tenant disputes, constitutional/civil rights, medical malpractice matters, and personal injury cases, advocating tirelessly for his clients in Florida courts.

Beyond his legal pursuits, James finds joy in competitive golf across Florida, remains a steadfast supporter of New York sports teams including the Jets, Mets, and Knicks, and dedicates time to training in various martial arts disciplines. He also nurtures a keen interest in political philosophy, enriching his understanding of societal dynamics and legal frameworks. James lives in Naples with his wife, Nicole.
