Entrance Counseling
If you are receiving Stafford and/or Graduate PLUS loans for the first time as a graduate student, you must complete a Graduate/Professional Student Loan Entrance Counseling session at Studentaid.gov.
Many new students have questions about financial aid which cannot be adequately addressed in an on-line counseling session. The Financial Aid Office advises all new students that they are welcome to contact the Financial Aid Office for answers to their questions.
Exit Counseling
Federal student loan borrowers who graduate or withdraw from school are required to complete a Graduate/Professional Student Loan Exit Counseling session at Studentaid.gov.
All graduating students who borrowed federal student loans while in attendance at Ave Maria School of Law are contacted by the financial aid office in their graduating semester to meet with the Director of Student Financial Services for a one-on-one, in-person loan exit counseling meeting. Students’ concerns regarding loan repayment plans, grace period, deferment, consolidation, loan forgiveness and financial planning are addressed in the meeting.
